Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration
Congratulations to Norman Jones, sophomore at Stonewall Jackson High School, for his third-time win at the Martin Luther King,Jr. Oratorical Contest! Thanks tohis sponsor, English teacher LoriSterne, for her support of Norman in this contest.
Attention Prospective 2015 Football Players
Off-season strength and conditioning training has begun. It is required for all prospective 2015 players. Players participating in another in-season sport are exempt from the football strength and conditioning as long they are getting strength and conditioning in the other sport. Training will meet in the weight room four days a week. Mondays, 3:15 - 4:10; and Tuesday - Thursdays, 2:15 -3:45; Friday is a make-up day. All prospective 2015 players should contact Lieutenant Colonel Robinson to register for the season regardless of strength and conditioning training attendance.
2015-16 IB and Specialty Program Application
Students interested in applying for Stonewall Jackson High School's International Baccalaureate program during the 2015-2016 school year, need to complete an application form. This form seems to work best in Internet Explorer.Click here for more information and the application. Applications must be posted by February 1, 2015.
SJHS TouchBase February 9th
On Monday, February 9, 2015, Stonewall Jackson High School will host its TouchBase Parent-Teacher Conferences for the second semester. We encourage parents/guardians to come out anytime between 7:30 AM and 9:50 AM to participate in 3-5 minute conferences with teachers. No appointment is required. Bus transportation will be provided for all students to report to school on a 3-hour delay.
Super Saturday
SENIORS: Stonewall Jackson is again presenting Super Saturday on Saturday, February 7th from 9-12 for free professional help in completing the FAFSA form for Federal student aid. Any senior parent needing FREE professional assistance to complete the FAFSA is welcome to come! Informative presentations about FAFSA will be held at 9:15 AM and 10:15 AM in the auditorium. SplashDown Water Park Job Fair
The SplashDown Water Park Job Fair (see flyer) will be held Saturday, February 7th from 10am - 1pm at Stonewall Jackson High School in the 2nd floor cafeteria. Prince William County Parks & Recreation will be holding other job fairs, but this is the one students SHOULD attend if they want to work at SplashDown this summer. Click here for a list of summer positions available. Hiring managers will be present to interview for all open positions bu you must apply online prior to the job fair, print your completed application and bring it to the job fair. Go to www.pwcgov.org/jobs and click on the Job Listings link in the middle of the page. Under the Search Criteria box clear all selections and check the box for "Parks & Recreation - Seasonal & Part-Time Jobs", click "Go" box to find the job listings.

Cosmetology
Paper applications will be requiredto apply for the Cosmetology program. Click here to download a copy of the application. Students should print and submit completed applications to theirschool counselors whomay then send them via the courier service to Stonewall Jackson High School Cosmetology Department.
